Garam masala, which means hot spice blend in Hindi, is a spice blend whose ingredients and proportions vary from region to region in India. The further south we go in India, the hotter the mixture becomes. The term "hot" refers to the ability of the spices in the mixture to produce heat in the body and not so much in how hot it is. TRS Garam Masala has a mild taste and aroma and adds warmth, sweetness and a floral and soft spicy note to meat, fish, vegetable and legume dishes. TIP: Use it towards the end of cooking.
