Professional Carbon Steel Wok suitable for gas cooker or gas stove only. Not suitable for induction, glass-ceramic stove or any other hotplate.
Before using your carbon steel wok for the first time, it has to be prepared to prevent food sticking to the wok whilst cooking.
Therefore, wash the wok by hand in warm water rich on detergent before you use it for the first time, then heat the wok over a high gas flame until the protection coating layer will disappear completely. During this procedure the wok will start to smoke. Therefore it is important that the room where the procedure will take place is adequately ventilated. After the smoke emission stops, switch of the gas and let the wok cool down.
This wok is not suitable for acidic food.
Wash again and let the wok dry.
Always wash the wok by hand and avoid abrasive substances. If you notice some rust on the wok, remove the rust with a stiff brush and then rub it with some vegetable oil.
